Dr. Charles W. Field, 96, of Tallahassee, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, in Tallahassee. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Deer Lake Church in Tallahassee, where he was a member.
He was a native of Phenix City, AL, and later graduated from Auburn University with a degree in veterinary medicine, and practiced in Tennessee and Florida until his retirement in 1984. Dr. Field had lived in Tallahassee since 1958. He was a practitioner of veterinary medicine, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Survivors include his loving wife, Pat Westberry Field; sons, Charles W. Field III of Tallahassee and Mitchell Scott Field of Pensacola; daughter, Michele Toomer of Atlantic Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
