Rosemary Cranford

Rosemary Cranford, 85, of Tallahassee, Fl., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1st in Monticello, FL. The service will be at 10 am on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at Miccosukee United Methodist Church Cemetery in Miccosukee, FL, with burial at Miccosukee United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Miccosukee United Methodist Church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miccosukee United Methodist Church. Fairchild Funeral Home (850-386-8686) is in charge of arrangements. 

A native of Jesup, Georgia Rosemary had lived in Tallahassee since 1995. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Dawn, and sister Debbie whom she took custody of after the passing of their parents. She was a wonderful grandmother who dedicated most of her time to spend with her grandchildren. She worked as a bank Vice President in Tarpon Springs, FL and continued her career in banking once moving to Tallahassee. Rosemary was a member of the Easter Star at the Robert Butler Masonic Lodge. She worked at the Tallahassee Hallmark store for many years and was a founding member of the Tally Town Collectors Club. She also helped organize and run the Miccosukee United Methodist Church Soup Kitchen which fed lunch to the community weekly. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Jessie Lee Cranford of Camilla, Ga., her sister Jane Donnahoo of Newnan, Ga., and brother JC Cranford of Dawson, Ga.

 She is survived by her daughter April Dawn Bayer (Joseph), her sister, Debbie Lindsey (John), and her grandchildren, Brandy, Brooke, Dewel (Candace), and Jesse (Renee). Great grandchildren Penn, Connor, and Charles. 

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We want to give special thanks to Brynwood Health and Rehabilitation Physicality and all of the staff who cared for her like family.
